Thenremove the Globe and set it aside (you do not have to empty it of litter). We've assumed that your Globe was at the Home position with the litter resting on the black liner, but if your Globe wasn't at the Home position, be careful not to spill litter out of the waste port.

Step 3: Situate the Base

Ensure the Base is properly situated on firm, level flooring, that it is not pushed against anything (like the wall), and nothing is resting on it.If you have your Litter-Robot on carpeting or flooring with cracks, grout lines in the case of tile, or any other deformity that could result in uneven contact, either relocate the unit, or place a board underneath it. Forthe Cat Sensor to workaccurately and reliably, the Litter-Robot must always be free-standing, meaning it's not leaning on anything and nothing is leaning on it.

Empty the Waste Drawer (even if it's not very full).

Step 4: Reassemble the Globe

Put the Globe back on the unit in the Home position, ensuring that it is on the track.

Litter-Robot 3: Troubleshooting Step-By-Step Guide (6)

If you feel that one side of the Globe is heavier than the other, peer through the screen intothe litter pocket (the area where clean litter is held during a cycle). Any weight concealed here could throw off the unit during cycling. Check for stuck litter, especially if you recently cleaned your unit (leftover moisture may have interacted with the litter). If you see debris or suspect there is litter caked behind the screen, you will need to cleanthe Globe (the screen should not be bent outward to clean behind).

Once aligned on the track, check that the litter level inside the Globe is at or below thethe raised Fill Line on the black rubber liner when spread flat.

Step 8: Automatic Reset

The unit should perform an initial Clean cycle: the Globe will rotate counterclockwise to the Dump position, then rotate clockwise past the Home position to level the litter before returning to the Home position with a solid blue light. The Cat Sensor is automatically reset at the end of eachcycle.

Step 9: Test Cycle

Press Cycle again to test that your unit can complete a Clean cycle and return to the Home position with a solid blue light. Continue to Step 10.

Step 10: Manual Cat Sensor Activation

Press on the Globe just above the entrance in a forward and downward direction—just press and release. The blue light should turn offand the red light should come on. You'veactivated the Cat Sensor to simulate your cat entering the Globe, then exiting. Allowthe Wait Time (3, 7, or 15 minutes—whatever you have your unit set to) to elapse and the Clean cycle to finish. The Globe will return to the Home position with a solid blue light on the Control Panel; if you get this result, there is no issue with yourLitter-Robot.

If, during Steps 9 or 10, the unit does not return Home with a solid blue light, please note the light pattern and position of the Globe. This information will help Customer Experience advise you on further troubleshooting, so you can get your Litter-Robot working again!
